If you're interested in children's literature or literature for young adults, you are probably looking forward to Monday, January 23, when the Newbery Medal, Caldecott Medal, Printz Award, and several other awards will be announced. We'll post the results here.

The results of our 2006 "Mock Newbery" and similar "guess the award winner" elections are posted on our web site:
Mock Newbery (Fiction through about age 12)
Mock Caldecott (Picture books)
Mock Sibert (Non-fiction)
Mock Printz (Fiction for middle and high school)

Actually, the Newbery is awarded for books intended up to and including age 14. It's interesting that the Printz and Newbery Awards overlap for ages 12-14.
